I drilled this Radical Results Plus with no real specific intention on where it was going to land in my bag, or how it might fit in. Sometimes it's fun to drill a ball just to drill a ball when they show up at the store. That's exactly what happened here. The new Radical Results Plus features the core shape used in the original Results, combined with a new TP-1 cover that was formulated to provide a more defined down lane motion.

When I tested the Results Plus at my house shot league (Olathe Lanes East) I saw a little smoother motion than anticipated. Personally I haven't had a lot of success with extremely high mass bias balls, and Results Plus is exactly that (.027"). High mass bias offerings result in much earlier mid-lane read for the bowler, and with my game I don't really need or want that. Results Plus creates huge mid-lane read with the combination of the extremely high mass bias and the very strong TP-1 cover. For me personally, that creates earlier and smoother than I usually prefer. I believe the TP-1 cover is far stronger than the cover used on the original Results, which was longer and a bit more angular for me. After a change to the cover on the Results Plus (4000/polish) I did see far more length with a more angular backend. Manufacturers create a box finish to match up to their reaction needs, but it doesn't mean that's always going to be the best surface for you! Don't forget that you can significantly alter ball motion by simply changing the surface on your equipment.

I took the Results Plus to my sport league this week (Ward Parkway Lanes), but unfortunately the pattern we're bowling on is so dry in the first 10-15 feet that this ball wasn't usable over there. I'm looking forward to taking this one to a slicker environment so I can really see the ball where it's best suited - medium to heavier oil.

In the end, I found Results Plus to be a tick stronger down lane than the original Results after the surface change I made. I the box condition, our customers will likely see a slightly earlier read with a strong/controlled down lane move. Results Plus is a piece that we'll be specifically recommending to lower revolution players that want a strong mid-lane reaction.
