Manufacturer's Intent: Designed for unmatched versatility, the Energize pairs the proven Vaporize Core with the advanced HK22C – EVO Hybrid Coverstock, first made famous by the Hypnotize. This dynamic combination delivers a strong, controlled motion that thrives on a wide range of lane conditions. Built as a benchmark asymmetric, Energize is the perfect choice when transition hits and you need to open up your angles without losing consistency or control. Its Reaction Shape Strength of 90 means it packs serious punch while maintaining the smooth, continuous motion all-purpose players crave. Enhanced with DynamiCore2 for increased hitting power and durability, and the HK22 base technology for brilliant color and clarity, the Energize stands out both in performance and appearance. When it’s time to take charge of your reaction, it’s time to Energize.

Brunswick's newest Pro Performance ball is going to be right at home on medium-to-medium heavy oil lane conditions. It starts with a compound finished cover previously found on the Hypnotize. The HK22C - EVO Hybrid cover has moderate length through the front of the lane but offers more traction in the mid-lane than most compound finished balls. This gives the Energize the nod on slightly heavier oil lane conditions than you might think at first.

I drilled my Energize with my standard pin up drilling found on nearly every asymmetric ball I drill. The core number here indicate quick revolutions with a fairly strong mid-lane revving nature. Energize was at home for me near the middle of the lane with some "bend" in the ball reaction. The core motion was much too strong to play straighter in any place that I currently bowl. I also found the cover to be a little lazy when trying to open up the lane with big launch angles. When I keep the Energize near the middle with moderate launch angle, this one does impress.

The Energize is strong enough in the mid-lane that I actually think there's some promise here with a duller finish. But I don't bowl anywhere slick enough for that to be in play. My experience testing balls over the years tells me that this one may hook a ton with a sanded finish on it.

The color formulation also stands out on the Energize. Brunswick has clearly made a leap with colors and brilliance in the appearance of their covers. Something is very different here, and it does pop on the shelf.
